Navajo Unit, "Girls in the Woods" made their own first aid kits. The girls sat under the Juniper Tree (also know as the Willowmina tree) where they sewed their own bags. Check this out!

Thursday afternoon is a time where campers can choose where to go. They had six different activity options all based around the theme of "Princess". There were also some special princeses that rode down in a carriage to surprise the campers during snack time.... As a break between activities campers get a snack and are able to play with water tubes to help cool themselves down. The Three Princesses of Willow Springs. Twilight, Iris and Magpie are brought to the campers via the Princess Carriage.

Mail Call! We deliver the mail to campers on Breakfast daily. We also fax bunk replies every day before 10:00am.

What a beautiful morning! The campers and staff started the day with morning flag ceremony, a tradition in Girl Scouting.
Week One: June 8th, 2011
Last night all of the campers and staff were entertained by a campfire (we use a battery powered lantern and battery powered candles). Each unit sang a song to introduce themselves to the other campers and we laughed and sang and watched as the first few stars of the night came into view. Our first night dinner! Can you spot the princesses? Opening Campfire is a great time to share songs!
The Campers are Here!!!
Our campers have all checked in for the first day of camp! The bus arrived a little after 1:15pm and the girls riding the bus were given a snack and drink to welcome them to camp. All campers are currently in their units, getting their cabins ready and we will have a "Beads Ceremony" before dinner. We are looking forward to sharing stories of the Week One Camp, Princess theme here at Willow Springs...
