Mid Week Madness!!!

Image
So the week continues on, every day filled with adventure here. We went on a quest on Wednesday evening, ransacking all of camp and facing the not-so-perilous, not-so-unknown regions of camp in search of the ultimate hidden treasure: S'mores. Here are some pictures of that event. Our Questing crew of Cocopah, just returned from the hunt.  After fighting an evil bandit, time to enjoy the spoils of the hunt. Delicious s'mores.   Our lovely CIT's who hosted the hunt. And finished off our s'mores. It was a Sacrifice for them indeed to eat the last of them, but that's what they're training here for.  But camp isn't just a place of adventure, but of meeting all of the courageous souls you want to quest with. Here are our camp peeps hanging out with their new besties.  Friends of both the real and fluffy type. The Navajo girls and a photo jump in.  Some people smile for photos, others strike a pose. Big Smile!

Choose Your Own Adventure Tuesday!

Well it has been another great Tuesday at Camp Willow Springs and do you know what that means? Another day of my choice! Girls had the opportunity to choose between a multitude of different activities that they could do at camp. Some of us chose to get messy in ceramics, while others decided to keep clean and beautify their nails in extreme nail art! Here are some pictures from these events. My Choice begins! On your mark, get set, GO! Nothing like looking fancy for camp. After a delicious snack of apples and goldfish crackers, some of our wonderful ladies decided to look their best with some nail art.  All of us at camp relaxing writing poems haikus are the best Others chose to draw pictures. Pretty tasty eh? Clay animation might be a lost art, but not at Willow Springs! Look at these creations.  At the end of the night, all of Navajo decked the archery field in glo-sticks.  Nothing like shooting glowing arrows under the stars wi

First Fun Day of Camp! Week 3

Image
Hello all! We've begun another week at Willow Springs Program Center, and already the adventures have begun. We're ready, prepared and all packed for epic quests for treasure! Here is some of the documentation from our first day. CIT III's introducing themselves at opening campfire. For our Aviation girls, we already decided to start our lift offs on the ropes course. Some of us swung on tires above the ground as a group challenge.  This is an activity none of the girls seemed to "tire" of.  We also had some fun looking for whales on the whale watch. Hidden is now quite confident there are none in Arizona.  After quite an active morning, nothing better than chowing down in the lodge on lunch. On the menu today, chicken poppers and mac and cheese! Nom.  All and all it was a great day at Camp Willow Springs. Stay tuned for more adventures tomorrow!
