Gotta Get Down on Wednesday!

Image
It was another fantastic day at Willow Springs yesterday! The Apache girls spent the morning practicing their play and bouldering, the Hidden girls spent another day preparing for Friday's flight at Prescott Airport and finger weaving, the Cocopah crew made nature mobiles, and the Navajo campers made Chex Mix and took a hike. The entire camp participated in a cook-out, making foods from pancakes to chicken fajitas. Most campers also got the opportunity to sleep outside; those who did not either slept in a tent, in a yurt, or will be sleeping outside tonight. You can check out the photos from the day below!

Tuesday!

It was another day of fun in the sun at camp today; girls had the chance to tie-dye, visit the Trading Post for a nutritious snack or gift, hike the Brownie Trail, and learn a dance. While the Discover Aviation program went to the Prescott Airport, the rest of camp participated in Pick 'Ems. This week, hula dancing, dream catchers, plate masks, improvisation games, field games, and ceramics were all offered as activities for the afternoon. You can check out some of the photos from the day below!

Week 3 Begins!

Hey, hey, Willow Springs! We just finished a wonderful Family Camp weekend, including a family variety show, tile making, and outdoor skills sharing. The weekend flowed smoothly into a new week, which we're lucky to say is filled with our biggest group of campers this summer. We are also fortunate enough to be hosting our Discover Aviation program this week, which Willow Springs is partnering with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to run. Also featured this week is the Wheel-It program, which has girls on the ceramics wheels throwing their own pots. (Insert an amazing mess here.) Other campers spent today making lip gloss, collages, learning a new screenplay, and working on team building. You can check out the photos from today below!
