This past weekend Willow Springs received 6 inches of snow, just as the wildflowers are emerging and the new leaves of shrubs are soaking in the sunshine. With the coming of Spring my thoughts go to camp. In a few short weeks staff arrive and the summer begins. Recently we have been working to ensure that staff receive additional training before they arrive to camp through the American Camping Association. This information will be helpful to us as we must constantly learn to do better at our individual roles and grow as professionals. When another summer begins at Willow Springs I can't but help to get excited about the opportunities to create meaningful program for the campers. Many sessions are still open at Willow Springs and here are a few... THE ARCHER AND HER ARROW Week #2 JUNIORS Junior Girl Scouts! This program is going to be one of the most unique opportunities for you to practice and refine your archery skills! You will spend every day at the archery range and the coolest thing about this session is that YOU WILL TAKE HOME YOUR VERY OWN BOW!!! As I write, your bow is being hand-crafted by a bow-maker and your bow will be ready to shoot when you come to camp. NATURE LOVERS Week #1 or #8 BROWNIES Do you like to hike and watch wild animals?
